Free Ski Maps for the iPhone from RouteBuddy
RouteBuddy and OpenPisteMap are pleased to announce the release of free worldwide ski maps for the iPhone.
It’s the Ski season, so select OpenPisteMap in RouteBuddy Atlas 1.2, download the map tiles, and use OpenPisteMap offline to see where you are on the piste; Find the lift, arrange places to meet with friends, tour, track your runs and log restaurants, cool views and so on. Get more out of your skiing holiday this year with RouteBuddy Atlas and OpenPisteMap on your iPhone!
All skiers need to do is zoom in to any ski resort worldwide and touch the new ‘Download and Cache’ key to store the ski resort map tiles.
This great new feature in RouteBuddy Atlas allows users to download these map tiles at home (over a WiFi connection) and, when on holiday, use the ski maps stored on their iPhone without incurring costly data-roaming charges.
RouteBuddy Atlas is available from the iTunes Store.
RouteBuddy Atlas supports installation from both Mac and PC platforms, and any iPhone or iPod touch running iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later.
